Seals are highly adapted marine mammals with unique physical characteristics allowing them to thrive and navigate on both land and water. They are not only found in polar, arctic regions, but can actually be found in oceans all around the world, from rocky shores to temperate beaches to tropical islands.
Seals play a significant role in maintaining balance in our ecosystems, but face threats from predators and other challenges like habitat loss, pollution, and other human impacts.
