Giraffes are some of the world’s most recognizable animals. Known primarily for having beautiful spotted patterns, long necks and graceful gaits, these creatures are actually incredibly complex. One of the lesser-known characteristics about giraffes is that they have an unusual way of communicating with one another: They hum.
Scientists have discovered that giraffes make a low-frequency humming sound that is nearly impossible for humans to hear. However, through the use of modern technology, their humming sounds have been captured.
