Although not recognized by the American Kennel Club, Labradoodles and Goldendoodles have become extremely popular for their intelligence, friendly personalities and low-shed curly coats. Both breeds are part Poodle with Goldendoodles exhibiting the golden coats and easy-going dispositions of Golden Retrievers and Labradoodles having coats of several colors and inheriting the higher energy levels of Labrador Retrievers. Both breeds are affectionate and playful with Labradoodles being more energetic with higher exercise requirements.
