Ariana is a dog lover and has been known to have adopted many over the years. Her main method of getting her pets is through either adoption from animal shelters or rescue organizations. On occasion, she has gained a dog or two from a breeder.

In a few interviews, Ariana stated that her family was pet-oriented and always had a dog in the home while growing up. The dogs would help her emotionally and were a happy addition to her daily life. So, she wanted to enjoy the happiness dogs gave her.

Did She Raise All Of Her Dogs?

Some of her dogs were raised from a young age, while others were adopted into the family later. Regardless, Ariana has accepted dogs from animal shelters and rescue organizations. She believes all dogs deserve a home, especially those waiting in shelters.

She also advocates the importance of adopting an animal to her fans. That being said, she has also talked about the importance of providing a loving and safe home for pets.

The story broke Ariana’s heart; she knew she wanted to help Cinnamon recover and become a happy pup again. Ariana announced on social media when Cinnamon was adopted, stating, “Now she lives with me and my other babies! She will be safe, spoiled, and loved unconditionally! Absolutely shatters my heart how somebody could toss an innocent creature aside like that.”

Ariana adopted Strauss, a Yorkshire Terrier, in 2015 when she performed at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During her visit, Animal Rescue Foundation surprised her with a pre-show meet and greet with a few of their dogs. Strauss was one of the pups, and Ariana immediately fell in love with him.

Throughout the years, you can see Ariana featuring Toulouse in pictures and are together on the cover of Vogue. Also, the pup appeared in an ad for the fashion brand Coach.

Toulouse was not the name he was given at the shelter. Instead, Ariana named him after one of the kittens from Disney’s animated film The Aristocrats.

Joan gifted the canine to Ariana at the Dangerous Woman Tour soundcheck, where Ariana fell in love with the puppy. Pignoli is best guessed to be a mix between Dachshund and Chihuahua.

Ariana Grande’s Past Dogs

Ariana has had other dogs in her life. Some have passed away, while others did not fit well with the dogs she already had in her home. Below is a quick summary of her past dogs.

1. Fawkes

Fawkes is a Shiba Inu who Ariana adopted in July 2014 in Florida. The puppy’s full name was Fawkes-Kitty, and he is a purebred. She was Ariana’s fourth dog, but unfortunately, in July 2015, she was given away. Fawkes was not friendly with the other dogs and was rehomed to live with one of Ariana’s friends.

2. Ophelia

Ophelia is a chocolate Labradoodle who was adopted on September 27, 2013. She was Ariana’s third dog and was named by Aaron Simon Gross. Ophelia has made some appearances, such as in Ariana’s Right There music video. She was also seen on the Sam & Cat pilot episode. However, Ophelia now lives with Ariana’s mother.

3. Sirius

Sirius was adopted back on January 31, 2015. He is named after the Harry Potter character Sirius Black. He usually travels with Ariana on tours, but it’s now been announced that Sirius is living with Ariana’s mother.

Ariana Grande’s Other Pets

Besides her dogs, Ariana also has two goats named Mari and Heir. They were adopted on September 13, 2016, and were later given to her friend’s farm so they could have a better life. After that, she also had a teacup pig named Piggy Smallz adopted on September 16, 2018.

Does Ariana Grande Plan to Adopt Any Other Dogs?

It’s safe to say that while the singer has many pets already, she’s open to adopting more. Her love for animals is strong, and while she may be unable to take in each dog she finds, she is up to caring for as many as she can. However, we can note that Ariana also rescues dogs and gives them away to her fans. So, even if she can’t take in the pup, she can find a good home for them somewhere else.

Conclusion

Ariana is an animal lover who grew up in a pet-loving household. With Ariana’s wealth and fortune, she can give these pups attention and all the care they need. With such a big heart, it’s good to see celebrities like Ariana taking an interest in adopting dogs from shelters.
