Imagine drifting along a wide, powerful river on a calm rafting trip, completely surrounded by untouched wilderness. The mountains rise around you, the trees sway in the breeze, and wildlife moves quietly along the banks. As you take it all in, something suddenly stops you cold. A grizzly bear is standing on the shoreline, staring straight at your kayak. Now imagine that the bear decides you and your friends might be a threat.
This is exactly what a group of rafters experienced on a river in Alaska, and they managed to capture the frightening encounter on video.
