The Mapogo Lion Coalition was a brutal band of six male lions who dominated South Africa’s Sabi Sands between 2006 and 2012. With astonishing teamwork and fearsome aggression, they claimed over 70,000 hectares and wiped out rival prides—only to be undone by internal conflict and rival coalitions.
