If you set out kayaking or rafting on a mountain river in the Rockies, you’d probably assume the fast-moving water keeps you safe from encounters with dangerous wildlife. But that wasn’t the case for one kayaker, who suddenly found themself the target of a grizzly bear. The massive animal spotted the kayaker and plunged into the river, swimming straight toward them with alarming speed.
The dramatic moment was caught on camera by a nearby rafting group, who shouted warnings in a desperate attempt to alert the kayaker of the looming danger. Watch our video to see the heart-pounding footage unfold.
