Landsat satellites recorded striking footage of some of the most significant wildfires in recent years, offering a rare view of these events from space. Using infrared imaging technology, the satellites documented the intensity and spread of fires that reshaped entire landscapes.

The footage included the Dixie and Caldor fires in California, the Jerusalem Hills Fire in Israel, and large scale wildfires across Canada, Greece, Siberia, and Russia. Infrared imagery revealed active burn zones, heat signatures, and smoke plumes stretching for miles, highlighting both the power of these fires and the vast areas they affected.

Viewed from orbit, the scope of these disasters becomes clear, underscoring how wildfire seasons in multiple regions have grown in size and impact over time.
