While the American Kennel Club does not officially recognize them, Labradoodles and Goldendoodles have gained enormous popularity thanks to their intelligence, affectionate nature, and low-shedding curly coats. Both are Poodle crosses: Goldendoodles typically inherit the golden coloring and easy-going temperament of the Golden Retriever, while Labradoodles often display coats in multiple shades and carry the higher energy levels of the Labrador Retriever. Both breeds are loving and playful, though Labradoodles generally need more activity and exercise.

Each also benefits from the Poodle’s minimally shedding coat. Labradoodles tend to have shorter, coarser fur, while Goldendoodles come in a wide range of coat types and colors. Wondering which one suits you best? Watch this video to learn more!
